Adviser-Ready Fund certification

Together, the FAAA and Chant West are committed to creating stronger alignment between the work of the super sector and the advice sector to deliver better outcomes for all fund members. We believe it’s critical that more Australian consumers have access to great financial advice. The Adviser-Ready Fund certification will help ensure that consumers have choice about how they access advice, and that advisers can access the information they need to support their clients throughout their retirement saving journeys.
Assessment process
A purpose-built framework with tailored underlying criteria is used to assess the services that super funds provide to advisers to help them support clients who are fund members. The framework assesses funds against key criteria including:
- access to client’s super fund holding information (e.g. via an adviser portal)
- ability to transact on behalf of clients, including digital signatures & consents
- ability to deduct adviser service fees
- key product features that support the delivery of tailored advice in relation to super
- ease of advisers arranging fee deductions and third-party authorities, and
- third-party adviser support through dedicated contact centres.
Funds need to meet 16 out of the 24 criteria to receive the Adviser-Ready Fund certification.

Promoting your certification
Super funds which achieve the certification can purchase a promotional licence, which allows them to incorporate it into adviser and member communications, educational tools and other engagement initiatives, helping to showcase their capabilities and strengths to financial advisers and their clients.
